How to find studio balcony availability on Anthem

Recommended Posts

I'm a solo cruiser with great flexibility in my travel dates and itinerary. Is there anyway on the rci website to search for Anthem sailings that have studio balcony availability? I rather not have to search sailing, by sailing looking for the SBs. I did ask a rci rep and they said they could do it but the web doesn't have that functionality. I'd prefer to avoid the single supplement if I can (who wouldn't right?) Thought I'd ask the smart folks here.

I don't know how to look specifically for studio staterooms, but you can display prices for cruises on Anthem in a specific date ranges and sort by lowest price. Many times this will show non-studio staterooms that are less expensive for one person than studio staterooms.

Just go to any online cruise travel agent search engine, choose "1" passenger for your desired cruise and the solo cabins available will pop up.

These solo cabins sell out quickly so try and look at cruises that are six months or so away.

Your chances of getting a real SB solo balcony are extremely low unless you book the very first day the itineraries open. This is what I did in April for winter 2019.

What you can look for is solo pricing on the DO obstructed balcony cabins on deck 6, which is what I did for this past winter.

Right now the 9/9 and 9/23 Bermuda sailings are offering DO cabins at 150% plus any balcony discount you are eligible for.

I am solo also and this is my experience.

I did not find any studio on the RC website. Phone the casino royale line and they offered me studio. Did not book and our conversation drifted to C & A points. My point is if you call the main RC booking line you will most likely be offered studio also.

Contacted my local TA here and they not only have studio but offered me a better price than RC booking office. From where you are I think you best bet is to contact your local TA who is a sub agent of some large national TA. RC have different cabin allotments for the different major TA.

Agree. My large online ta easily allows me to search for cabins for 1.

On our Anthem sailing last June looked for a studio for dd but couldn't find one. Discovered however that Royal was offering a studio GTY. Booked it for her and she was assigned a full-sized DO on deck 6. Great location, extended balcony and no single premium. Keep an eye out.
