Carnival Internet Package -- Value vs. Premium

Other than Skype and possibly some access speed, is there any real difference between these two packages? While price (about $4.00 to $5.00 per day) is extra umbrella style drinks for me, if there is real difference between the two, price is not an issue. Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

I would be interested to know if folks have confidence that there even is a significant speed difference between the two. That would be worth it to me.

Every cruise I've purchased either the value or premium plan. I haven't noticed a huge difference in my opinion. The speeds also fluctuate with how many people are utilizing the internet at the time. A lot of the time I was only able to get decent service before going to bed after closing down the casino!

last year on miracle we tried value plan and upgraded on day 2 to premium and yes was much faster

I would use to monitor our video production plant camera system and delay on value was long but premium I could watch live camera feeds without a problem and worked pretty well on video conferences too

We bought Premium for business on the Vista and it was a mission to get connected and kept getting dropped. For us it was a disappointment. But maybe just to use around ship to land it will be fine.

What are the prices on the ship vs prepay. Last time we were away that had value plans for the 7-8 day cruise that seem cheaper than the pre pay prices.

Even if you take the package for the whole week on the ship?? I thought I paid less on ship. I will book in advance but was wondering if anyone have been on ship lately and saw prices -
