Ropes course footwear

Hey there, I've done a search to no avail and I am packing now to leave for the Magic. My kids will surely want to do the ropes course onboard and also the one at the port at Amber Cove. Does anyone know if one must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, or would flip-flops/Crocs be ok?

Must be closed toed shoes so no sandals or flip flops. We were told tennis shoes or something like boat shoes.

We specifically brought tennis shows for the course. There were days / times that it wasn't open, so as soon as you see people lining up, put the shoes on and head over.

Will concur. Sneakers a must. Flips not allowed. So much fun too!!

Why wouldn't you pack them sneakers? Wouldn't they need footwear, and not beach wear in the dining areas?

I didn't have sneakers for that, I have more dressy shoes for dining. But, they aren't quite right for using for a ropes course. :)

My boys wear tennis shoes on board and pack their flip flops and dress shoes, because the flip flops are much smaller. Problem solved!

Wear sneakers for the ropes course. We do as someone else posted - wear our sneakers & pack flip flops since they pack flat.

Even if Carnival allowed them, I would think most would see that flip flops would be a poor choice for the ropes course once they see it.

I did see a few people wearing Keen type sandals on the Ropes course. They have to be closed toe and firmly fastened to your feet. Keens fit that. DS wore tennis shoes because it was that or crocs which were a no go.

My neighbor wears those Keen type sandals. Those would be fine. None of my sandals would work for that. I also would not wear my swimsuit - shorts help protect your legs from the harness.

They have also allowed us to wear water shoes.
