On our 5-night Bermuda cruise, we received a 'letter' on the door with a code and info to get $5 free to use in casino. We are not gamblers at all but free is free. DH walked out of the casino with $81 from the Wheel of Fortune machine. So Royal paid us to walk into the casino. Thanks Royal.

 

Reminds me of the time i was in Las Vegas on a "Free Play for signing up" put in my Player's Card and did Max Bet and got $500 cashed it out. Took $20 from that put it in another machine and got $620 and left.

Are you saying that they ask for your SeaPass, but you can refuse and still play the live games?

They ask for your SeaPass and track your time and level of play (in order to "rate" you for potential comps). You can politely refuse and they will gladly still accept your money at the table though!

On the Radiance a couple of weeks ago there was no smoking in the casino on formal nights. Otherwise, it has a no smoking area. On MSC cruises, there is no smoking at all in the casino.

How do they know who visits the casino?? You don't have to use your room key.

 

 

 

You do use your room key. You can build points for free play and even money off future cruises.

I remember my 2nd cruise which was on Monarch of the Seas. They still had booklets for crown and anchor members. In it I believe was $2 for the casino. Not a gambler but on my way to meet my family in the movie theater on the ship I was passing the casino so decided to stop, and cashed in my coupon at the casino cashier and was given 2 singles. I put them in a slot machine . I lost until my very last spin. Won almost $250. Was so happy because I won with their money lol. The next day was my birthday so I treated myself to a massage in the spa. Was a great day
