deec Posted October 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2017 Has anyone ever missed the port of Lyttleton, NZ? the tour company payment is NON-refundable and don't want to risk the $$$ if the port is often skipped?
Rare MMDown Under Posted October 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2017 Has anyone ever missed the port of Lyttleton, NZ?the tour company payment is NON-refundable and don't want to risk the $$$ if the port is often skipped? It is not wise to book any non refundable excursions on a cruise, as there are so many unknown factors, My ship missed Akaroa, NZ on my cruise, despite smooth seas in the harbour. Rare erewhon Posted October 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Since the earthquake, only smaller cruise ships berth at Lyttelton , so you may not get many replies to your query. As MMDown Under states, it is not wise to book non- refundable excursions.
Opua Kiwi Posted October 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Has anyone ever missed the port of Lyttleton, NZ?the tour company payment is NON-refundable and don't want to risk the $$$ if the port is often skipped? Have you asked whether the non-refundable actually applies to the ship not docking situation ? Sometimes, especially with companies used to cruise ship excursions, they will allow refunds because the cancelation was beyond your control.
