The ship matters. When I was on the Anthem, the TVs are bolted into the wall making access to the HDMI ports behind the TV difficult. However, on Grandeur, the TVs were on a swing arm, and the access was easy to the HDMI port. Also, I can only speak regarding the Grandeur, but the remote allowed me to switch to different sources. I am unsure if Anthem's remote can do the same thing. I never tested the remote because I didn't have access to the plugs on the back. Newer TVs and setup.

i must have missed this somehow. I had a Balcony room and the tv was solidly in that recessed across from the bed. Was there a latch or something i missed?

You can't access the back they are definitely fixed to the wall we tried to get an hdmi in the back,
