KazLoudspeaker Posted October 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Hi all! My husband and I are just under 3 weeks from boarding the Quest. I have a question some of you may be able to help with. We intend to book a future cruise on board, are Discoverer status and get the '50% reduction in deposit' benefit. My question is, based on booking a V2 veranda stateroom, what would be the expected deposit? I understand USA, UK, Canada & Australia all have differing deposit amounts. So this 50% is of the USA amount (we are cruising on a Transatlantic crossing) or of the Australian amount (we are from Australia)? Does it need to be paid in USD on board or Australian? Does it need to be cash or can you charge it to your credit card? I have read the terms & conditions, but they are not specific regarding these points (or I haven't been able to find it). Thanks in advance, Karyn
Rare uktog Posted October 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2017 It’s 50% of the amount that would apply for your country - so if you’re doing it as an Australian booking it’s 50% of the deposit required in Australia. I don’t think they take cash, we just give them a credit card number. You can’t add it to your onboard account it has to be a separate transaction. It can be the same credit card as you are using for your onboard account or a different one. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare uktog Posted October 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Prices are SO much more than for this year they really are charging a premium on that one! It was a great trip but it’s getting hard to justify the price vs other similar providers. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rabo Posted October 18, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 18, 2017 We booked the July 1, 2019 Fjords Cruise when it was first announced in March. A big “bucket list” item for me. Being in the US, we can take advantage of Azamara’s price guarantee if the price drops . . . if no drop in price, we’re stil doing what we wanted to do. Hope to see you all on board.
