TravelinGert Posted November 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2017 I'm looking for a day pass where we can be sure to get some shade. That doesn't seem like too tall of a requirement, but we will be one of seven ships in Cozumel the day we dock meaning everything will likely be crowded. Our ship also won't dock until 10 am. I'm sure some of those ships are docking earlier. In researching I often come across comments on the more frequently mentioned day pass locations saying all the shade was taken up prior to their arrival on days with many ships docking. So. Which day pass locations either will rent us one of those oversized beach umbrellas for reasonable or just has a lot of palm trees and shade available? It would be great if it also had great food but we can always go back to the ship when we get hungry if we have to.
sunsetbeachgal Posted November 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Paradise beach has a lot of shade from numerous tall thick palm trees. I would assume if you disembarked the ship right when it docked and took a cab over there you would be able to snag seats in the shade. JohninDC Posted November 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Nachi Cocom is never crowded - limited to 130 guests per day. AI for about $55 each
formerlivaboard Posted November 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2017 We were at Paradise beach 2 weeks ago and there was plenty of shade. There were 6 ships in port and Paradise was busy, but not packed. I think if you get right off the ship you will find what you are looking for.
