travelwide Posted February 4, 2018 #76 Share Posted February 4, 2018 We just got off of Seaside and had the Fantastica package and did not get a "freebie" meal. Also, now it is one meal ffor two per cabin for Black Card members even if both in the cabin are Black Card.
Rare nikkiw60 Posted February 4, 2018 #77 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Actually, a 6th grader would do a better job with his eyes closed! MSC's website is probably done by a 65+ person! We purchased the Dining Trio package of Butcher Cut, Asian and Ocean cay for $69/pp for the Seaside in October. We should also get a comped or freebie specialty meal through the Fantastica class? And I have Black Card level (matched from carnival's Diamond) but haven't read about Black card dining until this thread. What does that entail? The free meal was for your Black Card, nothing to do with Fantastica. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

The Black card free meal will give you and a guest a free meal similar to the limited choices that you get with the Trio package, but of course at only one of the venues. As of November, MSC changed their policy and even if there are two black card members traveling together in a cabin, they are only entitled to one meal for the two of them over the course of their cruise. whattodo Posted February 24, 2018 #79 Share Posted February 24, 2018 The menu states Dining Experience package entitlement is "3 dishes of your choice from Dining Experience menu". Can someone order 1 appetizer and 2 entrees or 3 entrees? Is the $69 package good for our choice of any 3 restaurants on the list and is it ok to dine at a restaurant twice? The 3 dishes are an appetizer, entree and dessert. It has been reported that you can get a second appetizer to swap out the dessert. You also have the choice to swap out either the appetizer or dessert for a second entree off of the menu, but you will pay for that second entree at 50% of the menu price. You can't eat at a second place twice within the 69 package. It is only good for 1 meal each at the steakhouse, seafood and asian restaurants. There will be substitute choices at the seafood place if you don't eat seafood. The package is not nearly as flexible as what is available on other lines, but compared to paying full prices, it's a good deal.
whattodo Posted February 25, 2018 #81 Share Posted February 25, 2018 Thank you SNJ and others who shared your experience here! Glad to know there's a chance to substitute. We usually get an extra entree to share because we often see more than one tempting dish we want to try. Their statement of choose "3 dishes of your choice..." led me to interpret it as any 3 items on Dining Experience menu without limiting to one from each category.
