Onboard the Regal. Just got an announcement from the captain that we are diverting to San Juan for a medical emergency. We were awoken this morning around 3 am with an announcement for the medical team to report to a cabin. So sorry for that passeger! The Coast Guard will meet us off shore to make the transfer. We are supposed to arrive back in Ft. Lauderdale on time.

Too rough for a transfer. They lowered a tender craft with the passenger aboard and are using it to transport into the harbor. The captain did a great job positioning the ship. All passengers remained glued to the rail and kept quiet during the process. Now we wait for the tender to return.

The tender returned and we have just restarted heading to Ft Lauderdale. Sure hope the passenger will be ok. Great job by the captain, crew, and Coast Guard (it looks like they had a ship making a large circle around us while we were waiting.) It took about three hours in all . . . .
