Is April a foggy month for Tampa?

We are considering a cruise from Tampa in April but wondering if it tends to be foggy there in the spring. I've read that a few years back, February was when the port closed due to fog. It is usually the spring and fall here and wonder if the same holds true for Tampa.

Jan & Feb and early March are typically the worst months. Fog related delays are not impossible in April, but are not likely. ;)

The worst months are usually December to February.

I would not be concerned about April.

 

With that said give yourself some pad when you select the flight for just other delays that can happen from time to time.

I can never get my wife to say that! :rolleyes:

 

If everything goes right you can make an 11:00 flight or maybe just before, but I prefer not to worry about my flight home while cruising - do yourself a favor and book something leaving at noon or later. ;)

I too wish I could get my wife to say that. :)

 

 

I also agree with the noon or later approach.

 

That way one can enjoy the cruise up until the last minute rather then worrying about pushing off the ship or wolfing down breakfast.
