NedRyerson57 Posted February 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Traveling on the Queen in May. I want to look stylish on Formal Nights but don't want to carry around my tux for the previous week in London. What would the general rates be for renting a tux on the ship? bluemarble Posted February 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Formal wear rental prices can be found here on the Cunard UK FAQ site. https://ask.cunard.com/help/cunard/life-on-board/Formal_Hire But since you are from the US, that link won't work for you without resorting to a vpn connection to make it look like you are in the UK. So here is what that page says. Regards, John ______________________________ Q. Can I hire formal wear? Yes, gentlemen can hire tuxedos including shirts and accessories on board from the shops. Capt_BJ Posted February 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Traveling on the Queen in May. I want to look stylish on Formal Nights but don't want to carry around my tux for the previous week in London. What would the general rates be for renting a tux on the ship? went thru this same thought process and decided for the price I could find a way to carry! You don't HAVE to have a tux ... a dark suit is perfectly acceptable .... and you'll possibly/probably be carrying another jacket already for 'informal' nites (where a jacket is still required . . . ) ****** we drug the extra wardrobe around for 3 weeks including a 10 day river cruise and 3 different hotels and some train rides ..... roller bags baby!!!! Mrs was already forced to carry her long dresses and I a jacket, what's one more?

NedRyerson57 Posted February 6, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Thanks for the great advise. Now the question is one jacket or jacket and a tux.

Wiltonian Posted February 7, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 7, 2018 The only trouble with that, he would have to be in Southampton a least one day before sailing, plus they may not have what he wanted? With many UK clothing retailers, you can now "click and collect" - order on-line and pick up in store next day. Debenhams are not at West Quay, but do it. So do NEXT. I bought my tux in a New Year sale at NEXT a couple of years ago. Stuart
