Husband and I just returned from Havana today, we did take a few gifts, a dozen baseballs, couple of kid baseball gloves, a few soccer balls, ball pump, and candy, plus a few other small toys. Comming into Cuba we were told would not be any problem BUT when we went through screening they pulled us aside wanted to look at everything, said no, nothing could go, we would have to return to ship. They as quickly as it started it was over and everything was fine they did indeed let us take everything. Our guide from Blexie Havana Tours - Mary and our driver we told them who we wanted to give our things, turned down a little side street there were about a dozen litte kids with their coach playing baseball. The kids were about 8/9/10, the coach must have been one of the kids dad or brother. They were so excited, new balls !! They only had one. It truely was the best part of Havana. We were up on a little hill so we passed down the goodies to the adult, and he distributed everything. It was a joy indeed. So do take some things, share your love , so worth it.
