sazzifrazz Posted February 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2018 We will be on a July sailing on Anthem. My son will join us each night for dinner. I plan to buy him a few solid color chino style shorts and a couple short sleeve button down shirts and polos. Would this be appropriate for dining? Do I need to buy him boat shoes of sanuk style shoes? How about formal night(s). Would he need a jacket or would slacks, shirt and tie be adequate? I know some people go super casual every night so Im asking what would look ok without getting odd looks?

OCruisers Posted February 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2018 What you've bought for him to wear sounds perfect for a RCCL cruise! (y) Enjoy! :D
VPIcruiser Posted February 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Your son might enjoy dressing up, but if not, don't worry about it. My 12 yo son likes dressing up on cruises since he goes very few places where a suit is needed when we are home.

Husky1987 Posted February 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2018 To paraphrase my favorite Dr. Seuss bit of wisdom: Let your child wear what you want, for those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
sazzifrazz Posted February 19, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted February 19, 2018 haha, thanks everyone. I personally dont care if he dresses up but I don't want him to feel looked down on if he isn't dressed decent enough. I wasn't sure what the typical attire is for Wonderland and Chops. We have the BOGO deal so I hear the first night is even more casual.

I wouldn't give what you're thinking about dressing him in a second thought :) Have a wonderful cruise!
