Carribbean - Western vs. Eastern?

We did the Eastern on Silhouette in February. I did not like the late arrival into San Juan. I probably would not choose that route again. We have typically have seen smoother seas in the Gulf on the Western routes. We have not had a chance to do a Southern route yet but it’s on the to do list. We have the Equinox Western route booked for next year (Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Costa Maya). Simply between east vs. west, I would vote western is my favorite.

Celebrity could use to do a little shake up with both routes though. They’ve been basically the same for the past few years with the exception of removing Labadee stops and adding Punta Cana.

We have done both, several times. We prefer Eastern. However, there are good excursions on all of the islands. Whatever you do, don't stay on the ship in any port. Get out and explore. Here is first-hand information on excursions we've taken in 26 Caribbean ports. With photos! http://www.lavasurfer.com/info/caribbean-secrets.html
