We were offered an upgrade from obstructed ocean view to balcony, refund of one fare, credit of $250.00 and air change fees to take the Royal Princess at a later date when we did the european explorer itinerary. Alas we could not change our dates due to work commitments. This was for a May 2004 sailing.

Last summer, I was offered an upgrade from an inside to a balcony cabin, my entire cruise fare given back in shipboard credit (anything I didn't spend I could cash out) and $100 airfare change fee.

I turned it down.....

My DH's coworker had two cabins for the Grand on 12/18 he had two cabins for the family and was thinking of canceling one because his wife had a knee injury. Before he had a chance to cancel (he had insurance) Princess called and offered him all his money back and a free future cruise. He took the offer for one of the cabins and went on the cruise with a friend in the other.
