MyVegas and OBC

I was able to redeem OBC for my MyVEGAS acct and my husbands MyVEGAS acct! It says one per person, so I think they’re now allowing more than one obc per cabin.

The wording of the terms and conditions on the website hasn't changed but the email they send you doesn't match what the website says. On the myVegas reward screen where you purchase the reward it has always said "Limit one cruise reward per player, per sailing" but then the email they send you says "One reward redemption per booking (stateroom)" and also "Only one myVEGAS Reward can be used per reservation". They have been enforcing the website wording rather than the email wording for a long time. I would still only redeem the rewards one at a time though, just in case they change their minds.

Just saw your comment ...

As far as I know the person redeeming the certificate must be the MyVegas player named on the certificate and booked to that cabin. So if you have 2 adults that have points to get certificates even if on the same general booking, as long as in different cabins they are each able to redeem a certificate.

BUT I would double check when submitting the first certificate. Then if RC says OK then order the second certificate and apply it as soon as you get it. (As long as it's within whatever the current TOU MyVegas is imposing.)

Thanks for the advice. I will reach out to them and see what happens.

Was anyone able to redeem an OBC credit if you booked your cruise through an agent or specifically American Airlines Cruises? The terms says has to be booked direct with Royal. We are still within the 30 days... wouldn’t mind getting a $100 OBC too.

I’ve twice made a booking with a TA and not had an issue redeeming myVEGAS for OBC.

Has anyone used myVegas rewards from a husband and wife on the same cruise? Thanks

I just used 2 today. One was from my husband's myvegas account and the other was from mine. We are in the same cabin. That gives us $200 obc. The club royale desk was very helpful and knowledgeable.

  • 2 weeks later...

HI All,

I read on another MyVegas post on the discussion board that OBC is not valid with Next Cruise. We booked an upcoming cruise in 2019 on Friday afternoon. My question is.... Has anyone booked through Next Cruise and been able to still use the OBC without losing any of the OBC you received from booking? Basically we got $175 OBC by booking during the cruise through Next Cruise. An additional $100 would be nice but definitely not worth losing the $175 we already have. We were also thinking of using the 10% off reward but again do not want to lose anything we already have. There is a line on our paperwork that you could lose any promotions by changing reservation details blah blah blah

This is the info I read. I realize and know the post is from 2014, just wondering if the info is still the same

OBC is not combinable with any other offer or promotion, including, but not limited to, Interline, Travel Agent, Travel Agent Friends and Family, weekly Sales Events, Net Rates, Crown & Anchor Discounts, Shareholder Benefits or Next Cruise offers, promotions, or benefits. When reserving through a travel agency, the reward must be presented to the travel agent at time of reservation. Misrepresentation of reward will void this offer and refare booking to prevailing rate. Refer to royalcaribbean.com for complete terms and conditions. Royal Caribbean International reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time without prior notice.

Call club royale and ask since they are the ones who actually redeem these for you. The number is 1-888-561-2234. They will know all of the details for the obc and the 10% discount. I do know that you can't use the discount and obc from myvegas together. You can only use one or the other but beyond that I'm not sure what the restrictions are.

The my Vegas rules seem to change on the fly and is dependant on the agent you interface with. Originally I received credits when the cruise was booked in cdn $ but that stopped.

Then it became either my Vegas or shareholder benefits but not both. If you reserve your cruise online you're not eligible but if you call an agent then it's okay but per the rules you're supposed to book thru the casino department. One more than one occasion, one of us was rejected but then I submitted using the other persons account and was credited. It seems to be hit or miss but it's free money (obc) so I keep trying.

My husband and I both have MyVegas accounts. He was going to use the 10% off and I was going to get the OBC.

Only one 10% off per cabin. No other certificates allowed. I was going to use the 10% off. and my wife was going to use the $100 OBC. They would not allow it.

I booked a cruise with NextCruise at the end of May, and then successfully applied MyVegas OBC for both my husband and once we arrived back home. I received an updated invoice that showed our original OBC from NextCruise along with the two $100 OBCs from MyVegas.
