Hi all!

Loving your review, thanks so much for doing it & posting so many lovely pictures. I noticed Deb, who I'd sailed with to the Baltic last May in one & also saw that there was a new game on the ship, Pyramid. I like that on TV & also have enjoyed Deal or No Deal on NCL ships. The entertainment, aside from the shows, I really look forward to is Dancing with the NCL Stars, it's always a hoot!

Have a lovely day on the beautiful Bliss!

Thanks, Joyce for your wonderful live thread. We are taking the November 3rd LA to Miami cruise so this is very helpful in our planning. You are doing a great job and hope you two have a terrific time onboard. Now, I must go find something to nibble after viewing your dinner pics. Yum!! [emoji39]

So today was pretty mellow, I relaxed a lot. Other than the cabin crawl lunch and then the cabin crawl itself, I didn’t do too much. I missed the Panama Canal lecture today. Went to my favorite spot in Haven courtyard. There are no kids that I saw in there. 1ee8fbc1e081ac0f1401dfce7287cf7a.jpg

Then I went to sugarcane bar for some Mojitos, Bong was in top form, mixing drinks, telling stories and telling dumb but funny jokes. I tried the pineapple and coconut, the spicy passion and the jalapeño cucumber mojitos. All were excellent.

Then we got ready for dinner, it was the Captians cocktail party tonight after dinner and it was dress up or not night. We got a little more dressed than other nights.

First we went to food republic for dinner.

First we tried tuna plus tuna sushi roll:

Then we had something “Rita”. It had avacado, cucumber and vegetables in kind of a ceviche sauce it was very good. We also had edemame.

We had Korean chicken. It was spicy came on a bed of rice.

Then we tried little pork dumplings with a Chile sauce

I had the Mexican corn on the cob. I didn’t care for that one. Too much cheese on it.

Then Mike got a little mango nochi ice cream. No pictures of that.

This restaurant is one that you can’t use a dining credit for. We place two orders: one for $26 and one for $13. I’m glad we tried this restaurant, but not sure if I would go again. Mike really likes sushi so we might be back for that.

Then we went to the Captains cocktail party in the Haven observation lounge. It was very nice, but Mike wasn’t in the mood to mix and mingle. We were a little under dressed too. There were some ladies with very pretty dresses on. I only got a picture of staircase in observation lounge that we didn’t notice before.

Thanks for taking us along!

Have you been to the Horizon lounge yet? Would love to know if there is bar service in there, if you make it. :)

Yes I’ve been there...very pretty, I’ll take pictures today after Cartagena.

I loved your review of the Escape, I want to try that smoky drink (old fashion) in the Haven, I haven’t got the nerve to order it yet! I bet they make it at maltings too.

Next was Havana:

They don’t allow cameras so no pics. Great dancers and singers! I’m so glad that I got to see behind the stage. It made the whole show fun to watch all of the details of the production.

We had a nightcap and I won in the casino tonight yay!

Went straight to bed. We have an early morning excursion: “Cartagena through the photo lens” booked through NCL

Next I’ll post pics of dailies Day 4

You must order it at least once! Very tasty and a great show to boot. They'll be thrilled to make you one, especially if the bar isn't busy!

Loving your pics.

Glad you're having fun, and super glad Bong is wearing his pin I gave him, too.

Yes I’ve noticed the transatlantic pins, the bartenders are very proud to wear them! They are cool pins!

Before I get to our Cartagena excursion, I just want to let you know that we had room service delivered. It was pretty good especially the French toast. We had to pay extra for the hot breakfast otherwise cold items, juice coffee, pastries, muffins, yogurt, cereal is free.421b4db59a57d6a9594bc52623aaa155.jpg

Now we had a little issue with our excursion. The ticket said meet in Bliss theater at 7:30. We were in the seats by 7:26. We listened for our excursion to be called by now it was 7:43. I had to go down and ask the guy if they had already called our excursion, they had! Oh no. We had to rush down the stairs and everyone else was already on the bus waiting for us. How embarrassing!

The shore excursion ticket does not say show up 15 minutes early.

They need to post what excursions have already been called as on some of the other ships.

What do you think? Is it etiquette to show up early for these excursions? We are not habitually late people.

Rant over.

Last times I’ve been in the Haven/suites all room service was complimentary. Is it something new that the hot breakfast has a charge?

Yes, I was wondering the same? Never had to pay for hot breakfast in the Haven. Hoping this is not a new money grab.

Ok we are on the bus. Our guide is Fernando, our photographer is Marina and our bus driver is John. All were excellent, especially Fernando! He spoke very clear English, was a wealth of knowledge of history, cultural anthropology, Colombian wildlife and birds and all things futbol (soccer).3dcd1c905af8731b265268a276a8dcd9.jpg

So he exclaimed that we will be visiting 3 areas. San Felipe fort, a local fishing village and old town Cartagena and church and the walled city.

So we are going off the beaten path in visiting the part of the locals.
