I wouldn't mind seeing the aurora australis, as seeing the aurora Borealis was fantastic.

It is a shame, especially as the east coast of Tassie is reasonably sheltered some of the time. But it's unpredictable and I guess the cruise lines don't want to run the risk of either having to change the itinerary and have a whole heap of unhappy passengers, or having a whole heap of unhappy seasick passengers.

Actually I'm surprised that some of the end of season NZ cruises haven't reported seeing the aurora. Apparently there were some early auroras this year, in March I think.
