Please help giving advice in picking an itinerary on the same ship leaving out of San Juan. I have read the boards, looked at excursions and read trip advisor. I just cant decide they look equally great! The excursions look about the same in what we would be interested in doing. I am an overthinker They are within $150 (#2 is slightly less expensive) of each other and it looks like the second one has more rooms available (potentially I could pay more if prices drop for an upgrade). I am booked on number one right now but I cant help to think about the second itinerary. :) Both cruises are about 90 days out! Thank you!! I appreciate any advice!

I don’t think you can go wrong with either itinerary. All are great ports and we love St Lucia and Barbados.

At this point I would stick with what you have and focus on the excursions you want to do. There are several very nice catamaran snorkeling excursions that limit the passengers to 12 or so in Barbados, but they can sell out quickly, so you may need to book that soon, if it is of interest. We have sailed with Calabaza and are booked with them again for December, but others get good reviews as well.

Any reason when departing San Juan you're not considering a ship that ports in:

Curacao and Aruba.

We've done and are doing again (Sept 8th) & (Sept 15th) a B2B great itinerary that you might consider either itinerary.

RCI Freedom;

San Juan, St Thomas, Curacao, Aruba, St Maarten

San Juan, St Maarten, St Kitts, St Johns Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados

One additional thing I check when booking a cruise is how many other ships will be in port at the same time as a cruise I am considering. Cruise Time Tables (cruisett.com) or other similar sites will show you how many other ships and potential passengers will be in port with you. A large number of passengers in port is not always a bad thing, but it’s good to know. That can be the deciding factor for me if two or more itineraries are equally interesting and similarly priced.

Hi Ashland- We have a credit with Celebrity that will help us pay for the cruise. So I was only looking at the Summit. Aruba is supposed to be beautiful just not for us right now:(

Gotcha.....next time hopefully :D
