kandydoll Posted August 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me what the weather is like during Christmas in Freeport Bahamas. Never cruised during the winter season. Trying to figure out what to pack. And how is the water and sailing that time of year. Thx...
evandbob Posted August 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Same as southern Florida. Most days high 70's, nights might be 60, although it can get a few degrees cooler. Google search turned this up: https://weatherspark.com/m/20786/12/Average-Weather-in-December-in-Nassau-Bahamas
Djptcp Posted August 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Can't tell you how many times we have been to the Bahamas on cruises (46 total cruises), but many and most during the late Fall and Winter. There were two times when it was chilly/cold: the first time was in 1994 at Christmas and we needed jackets to walk around Nassau. The second time it was unusually cold in Florida and we were on a 7-day cruise out of Charleston and it was really chilly the whole time. When we went to Half Moon Cay, I went swimming and the ocean was very cold and that was in early January. Otherwise, it's been very comfortable and swimmable. Enjoy your cruise!
