Any advantage paying your final payment any earlier then you have to? we still have 6 months until the cruise.

I don't think so unless you have the NCL Mastercard and your points post. If I would've had my cruise booked a few months before final payment I would've had enough points to upgrade to a balcony instead of from inside to obstructed oceanview.

If you pay early you don't have to worry about missing the payment deadline.....

We pay it off asap so we can begin booking our excursions, buying water, pre-paying gratuities, etc. DH doesn't like having big credit card bills anywhere near the cruise!

i wait until a week before final payment due. if there is any issues with the cruise like NCL cancels the cruise or changes the itinerary to something completely different, i noticed getting the deposit amount refunded is easier then getting any additional payments refunded.
