eyelash Posted August 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Is there a way to find out with any reasonable certainty before a cruise who the Cruise Director will be and whether there will be a specific activity onboard? For example, we are hoping for a disco/ABBA/Love Boat-era dance party, but don't want to pack costumes along if one will not be held. This would be on a 10-day Caribbean on the Crown Princess in Nov 2018. Any info appreciated.
weedpindle Posted August 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2018 It a CD is on the ship today, they may not be on the next cruise since they do get a vacation.
neverbeenhere Posted August 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2018 There is an entertainment email prior to your cruise a couple weeks. Check with current rollcalls for your ship to determine other facts. -ask for help from those on the ship last weeks or in the coming weeks. Btw: there is always some type of party that your clothing choices will be appropriate.
neverbeenhere Posted August 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2018 ABBA, 60’s, 70’s, Disco, retro, and a few others all accept the same attire. When they start the Nirvana themed party, you will need different clothing.

CD - you can ask on CC a few weeks before the cruise if anyone knows the current CD and if anyone has recent patters. On these 10 day cruises which are also sold as 20 day b2b's parties seem to rotate so that every voyage is not identical. No need to pack 70's disco clothing. Very few passengers, if any, are in costume for theme parties. Just pack tropical wear and you will fit right in.
paul929207 Posted August 15, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Bottom line is that it will be who it is. Check the Patter the first day
