Travel insurance

Recommended Posts

some advice please - we are uk residents and cruising in November with RCI to the Caribbean. We fly to Orlando and are there for three nights and then cruising for one week.

Do we need specific cruise insurance or is worldwide travel insurance sufficient.

Who do fellow UK cruisers insure with please ?

You need insurance covering the US and also cruising, best to get an annual cover.

We have used Direct Travel Insurance for 8+ years.

Three issues to think about:

1. Does your national medical insurance cover you outside the UK (in US, on islands or on ship)?

2. If you have to be medically evacuated from the ship, do you have coverage for this?

3. If you can't go all or part of the trip, how much money are you willing to lose?
