Moon Orchid Posted September 19, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted September 19, 2018 Sure, lots of people. Why? Just want to know if this is a good tour for $49. Did you do that ?
BNBR Posted September 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2018 You get to see the various aquariums. Not much more to it. Kind of up to you if it's worth it or not. Personally, I don't think you do enough to justify the time spent. But some people are pretty wowed by Atlantis and the aquariums are really cool and big. $49 is not expensive for an excursion and if you went direct to Atlantis, I believe it's $45 so when you factor transportation, the price is fair. Thank you, I know that's the cheapest tour there. My husband and I ,we walked around then took the water taxi back to the ship last time. This time we're a group of people age from 2 to 72 , some people have never been there so they're just want to see a part of Atlantis. If it's up to me, I would stay on the ship. Mike_DeA Posted September 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 21, 2018 Taxi vans are $4pp each way, port to Atlantis. You don't need a tour to get into the casino and shop area, but security will stop you from going further if you haven't bought tickets/wrist bands for the resort/pool areas. Those that want to visit the aquarium can buy tickets onsite, to the left of the main entrance/taxi drop off area.. The aquarium is relatively small, nothing compared to other aquariums I've been to. I was thru it all in under 30 minutes.
ssbeard1 Posted September 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 22, 2018 We did that a few years back. Actually our taxi driver got us in (he knew someone) - just to the aquarium part. Felt it was a totally waste of time. Would have been super upset if we paid extra. We weren’t there 20 minutes.
BNBR Posted September 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 22, 2018 You would have to sprint like Barry Sanders to do the entire aquarium and predator aquarium in 20 minutes. There is no way. It sounds to me like you looked at the small portion just in the lobby.
