Markmom18 Posted October 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2018 Hi, My question is in the Title. I just would like to know if there are any public beaches near the Port. I don't drink alcohol, no snorkeling or scuba/snuba for me :o and I'm fair skinned. I'd would like to put my toes in the sand, under a tree or umbrella and relax for a couple hours. I have been here just once, my husband and I did a Jeep Adventure. I'm going by myself this trip. Any ideas or suggestions? 🌸🌸 Bobbi
merinski Posted October 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2018 We have only been once before too. We are thinking of taking the bus to the turtle farm, $18 for farm and ,apparently $2.50 each way, and dropping off at a beach after. Not free, but cheap. cb at sea Posted October 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2018 All of the beaches on GC are public. The bus is $2.50pp and runs regularly. I'd head to the Seagrape Beach area...there is food/drink, restrooms, chair/umbrella rentals, if you want them....and when you're done, walk to the road, and the next bus will stop to take you back! Markmom18 Posted October 25, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted October 25, 2018 (edited) Hi, Thank you both for the suggestions. 🙂 I have taken our local buses myself. So, no problem going solo on the bus in GC? I don't have any physical limitations, how far is the road to the bus (clearly marked bus stop, right?). 🌸🌸.
