Hotel and transport to Port Everglades

We are flying into FLL in June 2019 and cruising out of Port Everglades.  We will need a hotel the night before the cruise and transportation to the ship then to the airport.  At Port Canaveral we used Go Port Canaveral for all of that.  Is there anything like that in Fort Lauderdale?  Or is there  a website or place I can find more information?  Thanks in advance for your help!

If you look down the board, there are dozens of threads on hotels in Ft Lauderdale. Start with the website sunny.org, which lists all the hotels in the area, with their amenities, like airport and port shuttles.

That being said, it is also VERY commonly recommended here that a free shuttle is not the biggest issue to worry about. The distances involved are very short, and the availability of taxis and Uber keep the fares very low.

Hi Bruce,

Thank you for the website, I will check it out.  Its been awhile since I have been to Ft Lauderdale.  I'm guessing since the distances are short that they dont really need a company to do shuttles.  I'm not as worried about getting a free shuttle as I would like to be able to walk off the ship and be able to get on a shuttle to the airport like we did at Port Canaveral.  Thanks for your suggestions.

www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel and tourist info.  Taxi from FLL and nearby hotels to Port Everglades should be about $15 and UberX (good for 2-3 plus normal bags) will be closer to $10 -- don't sweat the shuttles unless you want to stay farther from the port.

I am not aware of a similar "one-stop" transport-lodging travel agency at Port Everglades but it is really not needed because the airport is so close to the port and hotels. A very compact area.

As others said, first pick the best hotel for your needs then plan your transport afterwards. Most hotels offer free airport transfers. Then you have many options to/from the Port.

You will find a large selection of taxi cabs waiting to transport passengers to the airport.
