Vista trying to decide on cabin

We are looking to sail the Vista for the first time in Jan and the cabins we are looking at are:

Cloud 9 Spa Suite- deck 11- most expensive and probably wont splurge on that.

Cloud 9 Spa Balcony-deck 11 or deck 14 - most likely what we will book since it's not much more than a reg or cove balcony and includes the spa pass

Balcony on deck 6

Cove balcony on deck 2 - we do like the cove balconies

It will be our first time on the Visa and will also be a Premier Casino cruise for us so we will spend a considerable amount of time in the casino for drawings and of course gambling.

We plan to buy a spa pass anyway and I don't remember the cost but I think it would be more expensive to do a cove or reg balcony and add it than to just do a spa balcony.

I think the highest deck we have stayed on any ship is 9 so wondering about that and I love the motion of the ship while I sleep so thats not a problem.

Thanks for any input!

We do spa cabins on The Breeze , but not the vista , spa is not as nice as the Breeze' ,, so we won't pay the extra cost

Ive read several posts that spas on vista/horizon are NOT as nice as cabins in Horizon.

A spa cabin on Magic is nicer than on Vista etc. If you did spa on Magic class you might be dissapointed in a spa cabin on Vista, then again if the price is that good, take it.

Price out horizon cabins maybe if you are booking Vista. If you want the private pool and quieter, see how much more than a spa cabin.

We even went up to Serenity one day and actually got a clam shell on Vista, surprise. There is a nice salad bar up there with things like pumpkin seeds and other nice salad makings.

We normally sail the Breeze and love the spa but sadly she moved to Florida so now it's on to the Vista.  How would you compare the two spas?  I've read that the Vista one is not as nice as the Breeze.

We've never tried a spa cabin but I think it will be cheaper to book a spa balcony cabin than to book a regular balcony and add the spa pass.

Of course, i was just saying Ive heard some post they proferred the new Horizon cabins to the spa cabins on Vista. idk.

The private pool for horizon cabins isnt that large, it looks almost like a infinity pool. But you know if you would prefer the spa balconys, still probably cheaper than those new horizon cabins. Maybe someone else can say why they prefer the horizon cabins to the spa cabins on Horizon and Vista. I forget the reasons I read.

Maybe when you are on Vista take a peek at the horizon cabins and see what all the fuss is about?

I thought Vista well spread out so lines were not the problem as I had read or expected. Much better and easier to do things. Or maybe because it was a ultra cruise people were in the casino so lines were short everywhere.

Im sure you will enjoy your spa balcony. Didnt mean to imply you wouldnt, just had read they werent as good as on Dream class. Horizon is better on Vista class but more pricey. But I personally wasnt overwhelmed with the private pool for Horizon folks, nice but not my thing. And I could care less if there are extra drink waiters around.

Im sure you made the best choice for you, enjoy vista and dont miss the sky ride.

The supposedly T pool on the vista is tiny.  We have enjoyed doing spa cabins, for the location, T pool and heated loungers. The vista does have more heated loungers than the Breeze.

You can see the pool and loungers at the 25 second mark in my video from my signature.

We were in room 12212 on the vista, one thing I did not like was that the floors above us were staggered (like stair steps) and could see us on our balcony.

Thank you so much for all of the information and I never felt you implied we wouldn't enjoy the spa cabin.  I think all of the Havana cabins are booked for the sailing or would most likely do one of those to check it out.  Glad to hear you didn't think the lines were too bad and I'm a big chicken so wont go near the sky ride, lol.

We looked at videos of the spa and are disappointed mostly in the tiny T Pool but at least want to try it our first time sailing the Vista.  We do enjoy the heated loungers and steam/sauna rooms too.  I was wondering if the balconies were staggered.  Is the whole ship like that?  If we stay on deck 11 can 12 see down on our balcony and us see down onto 10?  What about deck 14 can the Serenity area see into your balcony?

I feel like serenity could see 14 but again cant remember 100%.

Thank you!  I tried looking at pics of the ship on google and looks like 11 & down may be good as far as privacy.

We both just got Ultra invite teasers by email today so are now putting the cruise we were planning to book for Jan on hold and will probably book an Ultra instead.  We can't book until Dec 6 and they didn't give ships or dates yet but hoping theres something out of Galveston.

The big difference in the spa area is Vista doesn’t have the thalassotherapy pool like Breeze. That is my favorite part of the spa area on Dream class ships. The rest of the spa area on Vista is nice. Be careful in the infrared room (don’t recall the exact name at the moment).  My wife made the mistake of letting her upper back hit one of the heating elements for a split second and got a nice burn as a result.  I used that room every day without an issue, so it’s not like the room is dangerous. There are wooden frames that cover the heating elements.
