trucker den Posted January 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2019 With the dry dock schedule starting. I was wondering if there is a way to watch the ships get "revolutionized"? Thanks.
leaveitallbehind Posted January 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2019 (edited) Highly doubt it. PTZtv, which is the company that furnishes webcams at many of the departure ports and ports of call for the cruise ships, does not have any cameras set up at the shipyards that I am aware of. I doubt that any private facility like that would permit it. There are some ships that have their own webcams that may show certain limited views of the ship, but I doubt that it would be likely that any of those would be on at the time of a dry dock. Not sure that any of the cruise lines would allow any of the work to be shown in progress even if there were webcams in place to do so. trucker den Posted January 2, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted January 2, 2019 Thats a shame. It would be great to see such a undertaking. Maybe Celebrity will film one in time lapse so we can see it.

wrk2cruise Posted January 2, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2019 I'd love to see the cabin replacement time lapse on the "M" class. Does anyone know what shipyard is doing Millennium? I thought I heard it was in Singapore.

I completely agree. In the States any video would be used in worker's compensation claims should there by an injury. I think most builders would not welcome cameras for that very reason.
