The Magic has a number of Ultra and Premium casino cruises booked, and it always seems to me that those are the "smokiest" cruises I've been on......gambling, smoking & drinking in the casino seem to be intertwined for the heavy hitters.

 

Unfortunately, Carnival doesn't dispense those dates to the cruising public, just to their known gamblers.  My next cruise on the Magic March 17 is an Ultra.

Great review... I sailed the Magic during 4th of July last year and we had a blast. Theres so much to do on this ship. I couldnt do it all... lol

Can you tell me if the room safes on the Magic are push button or if they still use the old sliding cards to open?

Can you tell us what nights were formal nights?  I know the first is day 2 -- sea day.  Just wondering about the 2nd.  i want to make steak house reservations soon.

Thanks for the great review. DD and I are trying to decide between Magic and Breeze. This has helped us. Question regarding the smoking...was the smoking on one side of deck 7 or both? Also did you book Infinity Resort directly or through a company. Might be a nice surprise for DD celebrating her Master’s degree 😊
