Aurea Booking Grandiosa

Hi all, I have a quick question. We have just booked the Grandiosa for summer 2020 on the Aurea Package. But going by the deck plans we seem to have been allocated a Fantastica Balcony Cabin it still says B3 Balcony and Aurea Experience but its showing up as being in the Fantastica area. Its Cabin 13053. Is this normal? Are the cabins the same or will we be missing out on any extras from the Cabin? Im very happy with the location just wondering should I be looking to have it changed to a cabin in the Aurea "Area". Also we are travelling with our 5 yr old will she be able to access the Top 19 Deck with us? Any advice will be appreciated

Top19 is adults only, so no Kids allowd. My Kids are older and they can t come to Top19.

If you go on msc website and go on deck plans there are 2 different deck plans one says 2019 and other 2020 its the 2020 that is correct

I have been looking at both the MSC ireland and UK sites deck plans and the UK site says its an Aurea Cabin and the Irish site says its a Fantastica Cabin. So hopefully Uk site is more up to date.

I booked a bella balcony on Grandiosa this week 9043 on the 2019 deck plan its a fantastica balcony but on 2020 deck plan (both on msc website uk) its a bella 😊

Kids are allowed on Top 19 and it is not Adult only as some would have you believe!

Kids were allowed on Top 19 on both occasions we sailed on Seaside and were allowed on Top 18 on Divina over Xmas and New year.

Just waiting for the post that says kids are not allowed in the Yacht Club ... 🤔

We are sailing once in a Aurea Cabin two years before and the Top 19 was Adults only, also on the Meraviglia last summer the Top 19 was adults only! normally its like that.

Mostyl we are sailing in the YC with our Kids, there is no problem with kids, but the Top 19 was/is really adults only. For us it wasn't a problem.

Top 19,18 is not Adults only! If it was there would be a notice saying so, MSC cannot sell Aurea cabins to families and then ban their kids from using the sun deck.  Notice no mention of Adults only.

Aurea cabins are sold to families with Spa access and the the Spa is adult only. The are no signs for that at the spa entrance but it is.

That is very true but Top 19 and 18 is not Adult only, As much as some might like it to be! We know that as a fact having been there.

Thank you for the replies. Was just looking at some youtube videos and can see children in the Top 19 areas so should be fine. But I'm sure we will be spending most of our time in the waterpark anyway with our little one. Any idea if the Grandiosa will have the same set up as the Seaside/Seaview with a bar in the Top 19 Area? We upgraded our drinks package from Easy to Premium does anyone know what ice cream is included?

Grandiosa would be more likely to have the same set-up as Meraviglia or Bellissima, CM, as they are her sister ships (watch for reviews of Bellissima when she debuts next month).

 

According to the info on the Premium package:

 

" The following items are not included in the package: tobacco, souvenir glasses, ice cream menu, retail items, minibar and room service".

 

Certainly there'll be icecream offered in the MDRs as dessert for lunch and dinner.  Again, see what those who sail Bellissima and/or Meraviglia report on the subject (or pose a question to anyone booked on either or who write a review).

You might be better served posing this question on a Seaside thread, Preziosa, as Grandiosa is not a Seaside-class ship.
