Hello,

We will be taking 5 Day cruise in April, departing from Miami.

We go to Nassau, Half Moon and Grand Turk.

Wondering if the ship stays on East Coast time zone the entire time?

Thanks!

The ship, in 99% of the circumstances will remain on the same time zone as its home port for the duration of the cruise. In the case of the OP's question, all of those ports are eastern time zone as well, so no changes needed.

One thing to check is whether your port observes Daylight Saving Time- that can make a difference. For example, we're going in June to Cozumel among other ports, leaving from Galveston which is Central Time Zone. Cozumel is Eastern time zone but doesn't observe DST, so before March and after November would be an hour earlier for our cruise. This time of year? No difference from Galveston's (and ship time's) time...

Before you leave your home port, find the setting on your phone that sets the time automatically (Settings|General|Date & Time|Set Automatically on the iPhone) and disable that.  Had that one try and bite me in Roatan or Belize.  Fun panic!  🙂
