SoBaycruiser Posted March 31, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2019 We just booked our first DCL cruise for ourselves and our son’s family. The grandchildren will be 2,4,and 7 at the time we depart. Here in the US we have all these car seat requirements. What is the situation on excursions in the Caribbean for small children? Do parents have to travel with booster seats? Also what about the transportation between the airport and cruise ship? Thanks in advance.
mommb Posted April 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2019 Disney transportation from the airport to the ship is on a bus that doesn’t have appropriate seat belts for car seats or booster seats. If your are taking private transportation, such as a rental car or van, you will need to either bring a car seat or make sure the company provides one. Most excursions buses can’t handle car seats or booster seats. Private cars probably will not have car seats. I don’t know if it is possible to bring your own, since we did only bus excursions when my kids were young enough for car seats.
SoBaycruiser Posted April 1, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted April 1, 2019 Thanks. Sounds like bus excursions and transportation is the simplest way to go.
angie7911922 Posted April 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2019 We took the Disney bus (without car seats) and we didn't take our car seats with us either. When the kids were younger, they just sat in our lap (so they could see) or in a separate seat on their knees. Most of the excursions are either with buses or vans.
