SetAnOpenCourse Posted April 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2019 I’m considering my first NCL cruise, a Friday to Monday trip on the Sun, out of Port Canaveral. I’m inviting my mother, in her late eighties with limited mobility. She’s fairly adaptable and I think would enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, to some extent. But will this sort of cruise be too loud? Are there areas of the ship which are somewhat peaceful? Does the outside promenade deck have chairs or loungers?
1025cruise Posted April 15, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2019 Considering the Sun is also "all inclusive", plus a 3 day, I'd expect a bit of a party atmosphere that cruise.

We are not "young" by any means, but really enjoy these weekend getaways. Kinda normal dining and theater shows. The night club areas get louder as the evening goes on (but that is true of most cruise ships). You can always find some "quiet" lounge music. Is the outside promenade a nice place to escape to a lounge chair, to enjoy the view and sound of the water while at sea?
