howmuch! Posted April 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2019 Just looked at Tui cruises, and the 21 night 'Transatlantic Homecoming' cruise on the Explorer in 5 days time is showing a price of £1321 for an outside deck 4/5 cabin, flying from Manchester on Dreamliner. Bridgetown back to Newcastle. Still time to pack a case!
davecttr Posted April 24, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2019 The cruise may well not be full as it is 19 nights on the shorter version to Southampton, therefore the low price. the 7 sea days to cross the Atlantic might put people off as well. 2BACRUISER Posted April 24, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2019 I noticed ours on Explorer 2 in May Splendours of the Adriatic has dropped too for an inside. Bargains to be had if you can go when u want, book late and don't mind an inside. 🙂🚢
howmuch! Posted April 24, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted April 24, 2019 Now that all ships are All Inc, Tui haven't got the ability to 'ladle and team' prices like they use to (possibly why prices have risen IMO) When we first sailed on the Destiny, it was free booze for earlier booking, then as time passed, the cruise went down in price and the booze went up in price. Resulting total price was often the same regardless of when you booked. I like a bargain as much as anyone, but cabin selection would be my worry for late availability. Was thinking of booking the transatlantic next April but may consider leaving it and see how the price goes. Really liked the different ports they are visiting in France on the way back.
