Celebrity MoveUp Offer Tracker - Please Do Not Post Questions Here!

I Have a quick question. We are booked in A Sky Suite (Guar., but have room assignment already: Booked last week). Today I received the bidding upgrade email and I'm shocked at the minimum Bid/starting point. Aqua class, for example, is 400/pp starting which is more than what I would have paid for it if I would have booked it. We are happy with what we have and will stay put. My question is, Does Celebrity send out adjusted emails to upgrade as the date gets closer?  Thanks! Just getting back to cruising after 20 plus under our belts (Mostly RCCL/Princess). First time on Celebrity and really looking forward to it!

Was your offer accepted?

Sorry for the delay; I have been traveling!

No, my offers were not accepted. I believe that this was because it was a holiday cruise and the ship was basically full.

Not sure I'm following this... generally the system doesn't send you an email for lower categories than what you're booked into. ie: If you're booked into a Sky Suite, you absolutely should not be getting a MoveUp offer for AquaClass or lower.

Maybe a glitch? Are you sure you're in a sky suite?

There are Aqua Sky Suites which I suspect was the level referred to.

  • Ship:  Millenium

  • Date email offer received: N/A - went straight to move up portal
  • Captain’s Club Tier: classic

If YES -  Bidding Details:

  • Notification Date: N/A…yet
  • Accepted / Rejected: Pending

General Comments (offer details, etc.)

Min bids:

Edge villa n/a

Royal Suite n/a

Celebrity Suite n/a

Sky Suite - n/a

Aqua - $550

Congierge - $400

Fam Veranda - $300

Sunset Veranda - $350

Veranda - $250

Oceanview - $100

My “sleuthing” is showing the ship is almost full…watched the move up page for a couple weeks…no change…so put the offer in just over min for the family veranda. Only really interested in the larger balcony since we are traveling with another couple. Doubt my offer will be accepted but will update when I hear.

Seems like most of the “move up crowd” are suites going to a higher suite. I didn’t even have that available…not sure if that is due to the lack of availability or the bottom dwellers are only offered to upgrade so far. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Either way looking fwd to the cruise! Back after 7 yr hiatus.

Just as a side note - Solstice 21JAN23 sailing is 852 passengers. Next one (28JAN23) has 1500 pax.

Unsustainable as a business model.

Update: My offer switched from showing "current offer" to  "received & pending"...however I can still edit it and make other offers.

I did notice something interesting however....In the bidding window, why does it list all the amenities for Aqua Class & Concierge Class that you don't get!?!?! That is more than a bit misleading.

Which amenities do you speak of? If you get the upgrade to aqua class then you get blu. But you don't automatically get the perks like the drink package.

I guess you're right....Blu & access to the Persian Garden/Relaxation room are really the only 2 "Amenities" listed....Concierge Class still says you get concierge service, specialty restaurant seating preference, Welcome wine & daily treats....Some people have made it sound like you get absolutely nothing.

Where did you get the occupancy #'s?

If you get upgraded to aquaclass you also get the welcome bottle of sparkling wine and the daily treats. I was just on solstice where we got a move up from interior to aqua. Those are considered amenities for that category and are included. You just don't get the perks, wifi, drink package, or tips that the higher categories include.
