tianni Posted May 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2019 We are cruising in June. I have a question regarding men's dress code. On the two formal nights, my husband and son are not bringing sports coats or ties. Will they be able to dine in the main dining room and/or specially restaurants on those nights with dress pants and dress shirts or golf shirts only? Thank you for your help. orlandobob Posted May 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2019 Yes, “dress code” is just a suggestion. Enjoy your cruise!
Ourusualbeach Posted May 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) Doesn’t matter what time of year that you sail you would be fine in dress pants and a golf shirt on formal nights. BTW specialty restaurants are smart casual every night. Edited May 5, 2019 by Ourusualbeach
ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted May 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2019 basically for the dining rooms and specialty dining only. Typical. No shorts, to cut offs, no ball caps etc. A nice shirt and pants. Woman. Nice slacks and a nice blouse. Anything more formal is wonderful but not required.
NTC0624 Posted May 6, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2019 We never bring formal clothing when we cruise, however you may feel out of place in the main dining room if you are not dressed formally. We usually dine specialty on those two nights as the dress code is always smart casual for those restaurants and normal dinner attire is acceptable. SuiteLady Posted May 6, 2019 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2019 Here's a story for you....Sailed on the Harmony and accidently overlooked that it was formal night (not sure how this happened, as I have several cruises under my belt!). I noticed that some folks seemed to be really dressed up, but not that many that made it obvious. While being escorted to our table in the MDR, I noticed that many people had lobster....I was like...hmmmm, than it hit me!! We were dressed casual, but nice, and never felt out of place! So, with that being said, your husband and son will be absolutely fine! Enjoy your cruise...we loved Harmony!! We are ready to sail on the Anthem in 3 days!
