Where to go before cruise at Miami Airport?

Any suggestions about where to kill some time at Miami Airport (outside of security, after we get our luggage) we land at 7 AM and need to fill about 4 hours before cruise. Are there restaurants/cafes/places to sit that are past security? Thx!

Why not leave the airport and go to South Beach?

I asked a similar question last month and someone said there are eating places on the unsecured side of the airport.

There is a landside hotel in the airport terminal building.  Aside from hotel rooms (which you might want for a shower/nap after your redeye), they have two restaurants, IIRC.

 

You could also....gasp....actually go to the MIA website and see what they have landside.

There are places to eat on the departure level prior to security. Your bags will be picked up on the first floor, take an elevator or escalator up to the 2nd floor in the ticketing areas. More places to eat near concourses E, F and G than the other areas.

Instead of flying late at night or early in the morning of your cruise, why not leave a few hours earlier?  We always fly the day before and stay at a hotel near the airport with a free shuttle.  That way we are rested and unstressed the day we sail and leave the hotel in time to catch a shuttle to the ship.
