Nafplion - beach?

We will be on the Celebrity Edge on May 25th and one of our stops is in Nafplion. We are not sure what to do at this stop and there seems to be limited information.

 

There seems to be a beach....Tolo Psili Ammos Beach....would it be easy to grab a taxi at the port and head out there or should I plan ahead in advance.

 

At the port, are we walking distance to the town and would the town be a good area to walk around, shop, have a drink on a patio?

Try to visit the fortress Palamidi. I think that's the landmark of Nafplion. I have not heard of any decent beaches in Nafplion.

We stayed for two nights.  Never got to the beach.  very nice town plus lots to see if you get a car or a tour.

Thanks everyone. I see that Arvanitia Beach seems to be walking distance so we might just walk around down...have a patio lunch and walk over to check out the beach/have a drink

The beach is ok,  the town is nice.

The closest decent beach is 10km away, it's called Tolo.

Epidaurus is worth a visit, but the old town of Nafplio is stunning.  I'm so glad I got to see it. 

 

If you explored the town in the morning, you may be able to get to a beach for the afternoon, but don't miss the old town of Nafpio.
