Is Carnival a party ship?

I'm not a carnival cheerleader.i sail other lines my wife likes carnival (sometimes) so I have no need to lie to you.but I would not cruise on carnival for lots of reasons spend your money elsewhere.if you don't set foot on carnival you will not have missed a thing.but there is only one way to know.do you feel lucky?

In the days before the cell phone 3 and 4 day cruises were a great party. Now it seems a lot less than the old days.

We have gone on over 25 Carnival cruises and love them!  We are in our 60's now and definitely not partiers but IMO you can always find quieter places on the ship (especially Serenity deck).  We usually go with 3 or 4 other couples and have an awesome time!  That said we don't cruise in the summer generally.  We did go on one Holland America cruise and that was too quiet for me.
