Black Hat Tour Guide Recommendations

Thinking about going with them when we are in Cozumel.  Have been there numerous times and have done most the same things...beach, snorkel, a few of the AI's.  Thinking about something different as we are there until 8PM as well.  Someone told me to go with Black Hat Tour Guide and Liz Lopez.  Thoughts on this company?  Same person said $90/PP for 3 hours an additional $25/hr if we wish to do more.  What are some recommendations to do different than what I've listed we have done above?  Sights, out door things, scenery, tequilla distillery, different places to shop than down town, some good local food, etc.... We want to do either 3 or 4hrs max....

  Thanx for any help!

I have been riding with Black Hat since 2014, and the owner, Crescencio normally drives me around... He is a Cozumel local, and highly respected in the business. Whichever driver you have, you'll be treated well. I normally head around the island, visiting the rustic bars of the East side, and then head back to "town" for more exploring...

Is that the current rate for two people? Cresencio Lopez is the owner, presumably this is a relative? I am not sure how many other drivers he has.

we generally tour with ToursPlaza and lots of suggestions for tours on their website. We generally also do east side for rustic bars and photo shots but there is the chocolate factory, lots of different tequila tours, north end, town districts, ruins, Punta Sur, Pueblo del Maiz, El Cedral. Lots of authentic local restaurants downtown.

  • 4 weeks later...

Just returned from a tour with Crescencio. He was extremely accommodating. We had a group of 7, including a mobility scooter. He took us to areas that were scooter friendly.  Made our day very special. We allowed him to give us good places to see and eat. We toured the East side and had fantastic time. He supplied cold drinks and they were included.

I also learned they currently have three drivers.
