Haven't got any cruises booked on Dawn or Canada/New England itinerary, but may have to rethink it.....maybe for the fall. I have been out east a few times, driving through Vermont and Maine, but I think cruising it would be fun. (I live close to Toronto so it is a nice road trip for us). If you go again, try to get to Peggy's Cove, it is gorgeous there. Hope your leg has healed up and you were in better shape to enjoy your latest trip. Thanks for posting.....I have enjoyed all your trip reports and pics....especially of the ships and itineraries I am cruising after you. Take care Angela We thought about that, but I also didn't want to deal with crowds at Peggy's Cove. Yes, my leg is better. I was able to get around just fine on our trip to Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, a sliver of Utah, Texas, and California. You are very welcome! I learn from others and try to share my knowledge with you all as well!

shadowmeboy Posted August 11, 2019 Author #228 Share Posted August 11, 2019 Art piece outside the cruise dock in Portland, ME We went to The Holy Donut shop - they make a potato donut and all they flavors are excellent! Directions to get there! After eating donuts, we headed down for our tour with Lucky Catch Cruises. Lucky Catch Cruises run tours around Casco Bay, pulling lobster pots and teaching you about lobstering. While we were waiting, it started to pour. Luckily, it stopped before we got onboard and held off till after the tour. Boarding photo! The Dawn in Portland, Maine. We made several stops and learned about baiting, pulling, and setting traps, as well as identifying lobster, measuring for whether or not the lobster is legal to catch, and sustainability. We took more video on this excursion, so make sure to check out the video when it comes out!
