Jmeyers Posted August 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2019 Where would you suggest eating near the cruise port? Looking to get off the boat for a good lunch.
kelship Posted August 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2019 I don't know where, but I suggest conch fritters if you see them. Had them 2 years ago (at an all inclusive, not near the cruise port) and it's my main purpose when I visit Nassau again in a couple months. BNBR Posted August 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2019 The best restaurants aren't near the port. But near the port, Bahamian Cookin' if you want excellent local food. Also consider the Fish Fry if you don't mind a little bit of a walk. I like Curly's.
CILCIANRQTS Posted August 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2019 Consider Luciano’s for a nice Italian meal overlooking the water. Suggest a short cab ride vs. walking. For local fare, we like Curly’s also.
RocCruisers Posted August 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2019 Anything worth going to at Port Lucaya?
cruiserking Posted November 6, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2019 (edited) If you want to try some delicious, authentic Bahamian food check out Bahamian Kitchen. Just a short 10-minute walk from the cruise pier. Terrific conch fritters, mac and cheese, chicken and wash it all down with a few glasses of Swisher, a refreshing home made lemonade. http://bahamiancookin.com/ Jonathan Edited November 6, 2019 by cruiserking
