B2B process on RCI

Could some one enlighten us as to the process for a B2B cruise, ie if cabin is a different one, do we have to get off the ship etc

On the day you will be given a place and time to meet with other B2B passengers.

 It will be about 930 .The ship has to be cleared of all passengers.

You  will be given a new sea card and the group will be escorted off

the ship.

You can leave and go or you can return to the ship.

If you have a different cabin,someone will take your things to the other cabin.

If you return to the ship technically you have to wait till 1:00 to go to your cabin but that’s not usually enforced.If it is tell them you need your medicine.

 

You are allowed 2 bottles of wine and 12 nonalcoholic drinks per voyager.To be taken on the first boarding day.

Declare the second lot for the B2B and they will be stored and taken to your cabin in the afternoon of the B2B

Yeah 

 Usually does,you will meet other B2B passengers and make friends for the second cruise.

Good to hide in your cabin that afternoon and escape the frenzy or meet some of your new friends for a drink.

Just take your valuables and medication ,just in case.

If you book direct with RCI you should be able to keep the same cabin for both cruises.

Just ring them to confirm this - easy👍

Just did a B2B with Princess round Japan and seapass cards remained the same.

RCI make things particularly difficult don’t they, if this is how they do it?

If the OP keeps the same cabin, do you think they will also need a new seapass card? Because their account should continue over both cruises, or do you think that they would need to settle their account for the first cruise and start again for the second?

All things they would need to consider - personally I would contact Royal 🤓

Have had B2B turnaround days in Vancouver & Honolulu - both on same trip on RC Rhapsody. Couldn't have been easier:

- meeting of B2B's held a few days before end of cruise at which process was explained - lunch provided after meeting

- we kept same cabin, in fact for 3 cruises as we went B2B2B

- account closed out each cruise & new cruise cards issued (distributed before we left ship)

- boinged off ship with old card, and back on with new card

- issued a pass for ship re-boarding that by passed check-in all the way to passport control

- we left ship for the day at both ports to go exploring & returned at our leisure. We were told at the meetings that if we didn't wish to leave ship for the day, we would need to temporarily leave ship [zero count required by US authorities] & then return shortly later 

 

Did a Sun Princess Aus circumnavigation (+PNG) in 2017. Although we did Syd-Syd trip, all passengers had to disembark in Brisbane (first Aus port after PNG) even though we weren't really B2B. No-one could re-board before zero count. At first we were not happy to have to get off for 'no-reason' but once we had to get off we decided to spend the day on the rivercats & having a lunch off the ship, so all good in the end
