Wine at restaurants

1 bottle per person with the intention that it be consumed in your stateroom.  If you take it to the dining room you will be charged corkage for it.  Of course you could always just carry a glass of it to the dining room.  Additional bottles can be brought on board but you will be charged a corkage fee of $15 per bottle for those.

Additional bottles are usually charged $15 corkage when boarding. Those bottles are marked and can be used anywhere on the ship including the DR's without any additional corkage fees. Bottle size is limited to 750ml. No fortified wines.

The good news is......on our last cruise on the Star last week,  we had anytime dining and the beverage package.  Our experience up until last week was not good if trying to order wine with dinner,  it would come late or you could not get it and the selection was not good.  This time the wine was good and it came in a timely manor before food arrived.  As did the coffee after dinner came before the dessert came.  Nicely done.

Whether you bring a bottle of wine onboard or buy one in the dining room, if you bring it to a dining room or specialty restaurant and don’t finish it, it’ll be stored with your name and cabin number (if you wish.) You can then have it retrieved in any other dining venue on the ship, whether it’s the dining room, a specialty restaurant or the buffet.
