75Vette Posted November 24, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2019 We are doing a back to back cruise in Galveston. Does anyone know the procedure in debarking the ship between the cruises and shopping in Galveston and boarding the ship before it leaves for the second leg of the cruise. Thanks. Corby114 Posted November 25, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2019 You will normally receive a letter in your cabin with instructions where to meet at the conclusion of your first cruise. After being escorted off of the ship you will receive your new documents along with your new seapass for the second sailing. If you decide to go back onboard back to back cruisers are normally invited to a special luncheon somewhere on the ship. If you decide to spend a few hours off of the ship you will be provided with an In Transit pass that will allow you to bypass the lines when you return to the ship. It’s a very easy process that shouldn’t take you too long. If you are changing cabins let the cabin steward know before the end of your first sailing. They will assist you with moving your luggage from one cabin to another.
vicky3vicky Posted November 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2019 When we went on our B2B nearly 2 years ago, the process was basially the same. What was different was that we were not invited to a special luncheon. We did all receive a free drink in the atrium, and there was a group picture taken which was later sent to our room at no charge. I think we also received a fruit basket the next day. Getting of and back on the ship, as mentioned was easy and stress free. We just returned from a 14 day journey cruise a week or so ago, and we are havig trouble deciding whether we prefer journey or B2B. Both incredible for different reasons. There is no set protocol of group photos, lunch, drinks, etc. The Hotel Director of each ship decides what, if any, special treats they provide for people on B2Bs
75Vette Posted November 25, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted November 25, 2019 Thanks. We have the same cabin for both legs so no issues with changing cabins. Since it will be winter won't be able to get in pool or sun bathe, so thought we could just get off the ship for a few hours. Linda
