Why is the Alcohol Beverage Package so expnsive?

For my DH and I, the PBP makes no sense. He only drinks wine and we would not get much use out of it during the day. However, my sister and I are going on a one-time cruise together. She is used to going on all-inclusive vacations. We are on the 7 day Regal cruise next spring. We have 3 sea days and one of the ports is Princess Cays (which the package is good for). In our case, it will be perfect! She has never cruised. We will visit every bar and venue on the ship! We will enjoy coffees and waters and foo-foo drinks and wine and whatever! So remember, everyone's circumstance's are different! For our sister cruise, its totally worth it!

As someone who has worked at a movie theater (albeit 35-ish years ago), I can tell you right now you're not buying popcorn but rather the container.  Theaters won't confirm that, but I can.  I only know this is because I got free popcorn, and drinks, all the time when I worked there.  Their cost for popcorn is extremely cheap because they literally buy it by the ton.

At a 7-11 or other "convenience" store you don't pay for drinks. The inventory is taken by the cups. I was once a manager of a Short Stop store in Willits, CA. <Shudder...>

Be sure to find them all. I've never cruised a Royal class ship but on Emerald I found at least 13 different bars. I did 28 days on Emerald with the PBP and tried to find all of the bars during the 18 sea days. I may be missing one or two. It was a couple of years ago. I was amazed there were so many bars...

1. Deck 5 - Bar by International Cafe

2. Deck 5 - Vines

3. Deck 6 -  Casino Bar

4. Deck 7 - Wheelhouse

5. Deck 7 - Crooner's

6. Deck 7 - Explorer's

7. Deck 7 - Club Fusion

8. Deck 15 - The Mix

9. Deck 15 - Calypso Bar

10. Deck Outrigger

11. Deck 16 - Adagio

12. Deck 16 - Tradewinds

13. Deck 18 - Skywalker's

I left out dining venues. You can get drinks in the dining rooms as well. I seriously thought there were a couple more but can't figure out where they would be.
