Scheduling private transfer back to airport through Princess

We are sailing on the Star Princess in January and would like to have them book a private transfer to LAX for us. We just got off a ship in Miami today aboard another cruise line.  We booked the private transfer through the ship and it was a very smooth experience.  They had our luggage gathered with our name on it and escorted us to the car.  Was this your experience with Princess?  I can book our own private transfer, but if we get special service as described above, we would book it through a Princess.

Princess doesn't do private transfers - just group transfers on generally large buses.  If you want that sort of limo service, then I suggest you book your own.

 

Don't know where you will be coming from, but in FLL, for example, the airport and local hotels are so close to the port, it would be rather extravagant to go with a limo when taxis and such are plentiful.  But all options are available on your own.

Never heard of this on Princess. In San Pedro all the taxis are right there. A taxi ride to LAX is round $65 for two. You will have to collect your own luggage and bring it curbside, there are porters in the luggage area to assist.

Did you ask your T.A.? Maybe they can get you what you wish.

Thanks for the information.  I was afraid that might be the answer.  LAX is a mess these days with construction.  San Pedro is a great port to disembark from.  I’ll find a car service to pick us up that can take us directly to the curb at LAX.  We are no longer spring chickens and don’t want to lug our bags very far.

Execucar. Worked great for us for about $20 more than the taxi but with better, private service. Would do again.
