Rare L1211 Posted January 7, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2020 (edited) Currently on the Sun. The day is pretty terrible, windy, cloudy, cold. Last sea day as we roll toward Port Canaveral. 2pm Black Glass wine tasting. We have the PPBP so I think I read we can participate at 40% off? How are the wines? We did several wine classes on RCCL behemoth of the sea. The exact name slips me but they had a lovely wine bar where we slept. Well practically! We’ve enjoyed nice wines with the PPBP but disappointed because exactly ZERO bars offer ANY premium wines by the glass except the dining room. And good luck trying different wines at dinner. Too busy. Any experiences to share? Thanks! Edited January 7, 2020 by L1211 Tpyo
MarkMark Posted January 7, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2020 I did it last year on the Epic. Although a small group, it was a lot of fun, and mildly educational. A lot will depend on who is leading the class, and the participates. Do it for the experience NOT for the wines.
ready2cruzagain Posted January 7, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2020 How much does it cost?
Rare L1211 Posted January 7, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted January 7, 2020 (edited) Sketchy info from Bar. Dining reservations knew nothing. I think $20 with 20% grats. Maybe 20% discount with reg bev package and 40% with PPBP? Then add back 20%. Edited January 7, 2020 by L1211
Rare CoffeeGoddess Posted January 7, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2020 I did it on the Bliss with the black glass and macaroons and really enjoyed the experience. But the person who said do it for the experience not for the wines is completely correct.
Rare Suite Heart Posted January 7, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2020 I've participated 3 times: Epic, Breakaway, and Getaway. Always had a good time because always had a fun and knowledgeable leader/sommelier.
