seanjoytravel Posted January 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2020 Hello, I will be going on a 2-night cruise to Nassau from Palm Beach in late February for my birthday. My friend and I are looking for some good places to eat and get some good drinks, but this is the first time going for either of us. We don't mind taking a taxi/Uber to get to a less touristy area, just looking for good food and drinks! Our ship docks at 7:00 AM and we don't have to be back on board until 4:30 PM, so we have plenty of time to walk around and try out different places. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! General local experiences are also very appreciated as well! Thanks in advance!
CILCIANRQTS Posted January 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2020 A trip to Fish Fry (AKA Arawak Cay) would be a good choice for lunch. Local Bahamian food, local crowd and cheap, tasty eats. Full bar service. Take a cab to save time. We like Curly’s, but others will probably suggest their favorite. Then drinks downtown, somewhere closer to the ship. mets123 Posted January 24, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2020 You can save some money by taking the ,#10 bus. Fish Fry is very authentic and reasonably priced. Just a ten minute bus ride.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted January 25, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2020 I third the Fish Fry. It's a row of little Bahamian restaurants so it would be perfect for bar hopping. We've gone to Goldies and Twin Brothers. Curly's and Oh Andros also get good reviews. Just walk up the row and see which ones float your boat. ABQrobin Posted January 30, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2020 I did a little video of our day there.... We went to the Fish Fry for lunch. Lots of restaurants to choose from...all prices about the same.
